The growth of the global population is relentless, notwithstanding the efforts of government, non-government or independent agencies to stem this. Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations says “Among the most pressing challenges facing the world today is feeding a growing global population projected to increase from over 7 billion currently to over 9 billion by 2050. This challenge is compounded by the additional threats of climate change and the approximately 800 million who go hungry every day.” This leads to an ever-increasing need for food especially Protein sources which culminates in an ongoing growth in demand for food grains and Proteins such as Pulses, Beans & Lentils and Animal Protein such as Meat & Dairy.
